Leftist commentary from a mouthy bitch

Unfounded does not mean False.

Unfounded means that the police did not find enough evidence to prosecute.

That’s it.

It doesn’t mean anyone lied.

It doesn’t mean the accused didn’t do it.

Nor does it mean the accused did do it.

It just means there is neither the evidence to clear nor prosecute the accused.

That is ALL “Unfounded” means.

That’s it.

Seriously. Get it through your heads. “Unfounded” does not equal “Innocent.”

A demonstrably false accusation should result in a false accuser being prosecuted under that jurisdiction’s “wrongful accusation” laws and the complete dropping of all charges.

An unfounded rape charge, in particular, just means that they do not have the evidence they need to charge the accused. And even with AMAZING amounts of evidence, rape is really difficult to successfully prosecute.

Thing is that most trolls are incapable or unwilling to read for comprehension.

I wasn’t in on the conversation, but unfounded doesn’t mean true either.
I would hate to see someone crucified on an accusation without due process. The consequences of being branded a sex-offender are pretty intense. Just because the actual crime is foul doesn’t mean every suspect should be lynched.

I refer you to: “Nor does it mean the accused did do it.”

True, but it is a statement that deserves equal emphasis.

    Unfounded
By definition, unfounded = without foundation.
In alleged rape cases, child or adult, it oftentimes refers to a source misattribution, meaning rape did not occur at all and it’s an alternative hypothesis or it did occur but mistake in identity whereby you have the wrong suspect under the legal microscope.

      Re: Unfounded
You’re kidding right? You’re taking as your source an MRA* with a mad on for divorcing women?
      This was last year: http://www.tampabays10.com/news/local/story.aspx?storyid=72736
This is the same Dean Tong who didn’t think Darren Mack, the man who killed two people and tried to kill his estranged wife, was dangerous. Per an interview with Nancy Grace at the time of the attack: http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0606/13/ng.01.html
GRACE: To Dean Tong. He is a forensic trial consultant, and he consulted with Darren Mack during the divorce proceedings. Welcome, Mr. Tong. Thank you for being with us. I`ve taken a look at some letters that you say came from the suspect, Darren Mack — very, very disturbing. What were the grounds of the divorce? Why is this guy so mad?
DEAN TONG, TRIAL CONSULTANT FOR DARREN MACK: Thanks for having me, Nancy. The grounds were incompatibility, irreconcilable differences, mental cruelty, domestic abuse. They just could not mediate. They could not work it out. They tried to do so, and it became a very contentious, protracted custody battle.
GRACE: What exactly were her complaints about him?
TONG: Well, she had made allegations of domestic violence, that he had hit her. I had him tested by one of my psychologists, and the results of those findings and conclusions were that he had no propensity to be the monster that she was pinging him to be. I met the man last July in a Las Vegas hotel. We had breakfast together, and he certainly didn`t appear to me to be a risk to his child or his wife. So I mean, this is totally beyond surreal for me.
But basically, she was angry that — she thought he could not be a fit father for their daughter, and she wanted to be the primary custodian of the child.
GRACE: Wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute. Mr. Tong — with us, Dean Tong, he is a forensic trial consultant — what do you mean? You can`t go into court and say, He`s not a fit daddy? Why is he not a fit father? What exactly are her allegations?
TONG: It was mainly, `He said, she said,” Nancy. And you know, it was basically going to boil down to be a battle of the experts. Unfortunately, the last six months, I became incommunicado with the defense team, so I`m not privy to what the final things were done by his defense team.

You’ll forgive me for not taking the guy seriously.

And that first link? An article on charges he faced for abusing his own wife.

Plus you’re missing part of your definition: without a foundation of evidence…. See how those last two words change things?

Thank you for this – I actually didn’t know that’s what it meant; I think we hear it enough from people who want us to think it means “didn’t happen”, that that’s how I thought it was mostly used!
