Yeah I’m often shocked when I look at 6th & 7th grade pics where I thought I was enormous and wasn’t. There is, however, a direct correlation with me getting a car and then being larger than I had been because I wasn’t biking and walking everywhere anymore…

Yeah, my image of myself has always been as just gigantically huge. I tend to avoid pictures, at least recent ones for that reason, because I can’t trust my brain to see them as they are instead of how I feel about them.

I was looking at pictures at my parents house a few months ago and, yeah, same experience. “Wow. I was a lot skinnier than I remember.”
