Man, I don’t want to do this.
But… it’s been pointed out to me that this space may benefit from a more draconian comment policy.
This annoys me for two reasons:
1. I would like to believe we’re all grown ups here.
2. I’m fundamentally lazy, and having to police people pisses me off.
That said, the folks I talked to about it are right. Trolls are not interested in honest and open debate, they’re merely interested in trying to silence me and other people who make them uncomfortable.
So, in the future, if there’s an obvious troll, please do not feed.
Also, if someone does feed the troll before I can delete or wield the ban-hammer, I’ll delete your comments as well. No getting butthurt.
Basically, if someone uses hate speech, threats or logical fallacies and other derailing tactics – Bahletion. Multiple offenses will result in Bannination.
I will still allow Anonymous posting, BUT I am logging IPs, and will report people if I have to. Please don’t make me have to.
